I have a bird problem. Or more accurately, my strawberries have a bird problem. The issue is that every day for the past couple days I go outside looking forward to picking a fresh warm red strawberry that I've been patiently waiting for... and there are triangular shaped bites out of it courtesy of my neighborhood robins. I want to fix it.
Now, how shall i do it... Could I rig a shotgun with bird pellets to aim at these feathered bandits? probably not. Could I post my bird-hunting puppy outside? Probably, but she'd take a nap and they'd all flock in. I could also use
chicken wire to surround my precious patch. But I think the best option may just be to distract them with some suet or something equally delicious. Sometimes I'm a peacemaker.
Phooey.
